The Revenue Growth Engine Architect
After graduating with a marketing degree, I started my career in technology sales in 1993. Over the next 11 years I would work as an Account Executive andSales Manager. Ultimately I would get a baptism of fire at 26 years old as a District Manager, responsible for a $4.5M P&L.
Next I began working as a regional manager for a Japanese technology company. During that time I helped dealers develop sales and marketing plans to grow revenue. I also began developing a love for sales training.
In 2004 I hung out a shingle in my first entrepreneurial venture. I started a sales training company, teaching hardware reps how to sell solutions.
As fate would have it, my very first client asked if I built websites. I dusted off my marketing degree and began an interesting journey building an outsourced marketing services company providing websites, search engine optimization, social media management, and inbound marketing services.
During this time I worked with a startup company helping raise funds and bring a medical technology product to market.
In 2015 I began a podcasting adventure with my friend, Larry Levine. The Selling From the Heart podcast transformed from a passion project into a full sales training and coaching company. I still co-host the podcast where I have had the opportunity to meet all of my favorite sales thought leaders!
In 2019 as I was getting ready to speak to a group of executives in the technology space, I came up with the Revenue Growth Engine model. It began with a clean sheet design of what I would do if I designed everything a company needed to create exponential revenue growth.
In that season we had started using the EOS Traction model to run our agency. This led me to the big wake up call of the reality that I'm a visionary. I love creating models and sharing them with people.
During that time I wrote the Revenue Growth Engine book. Released in the summer of 2020 the book became an Amazon bestseller on release day.
Over the next few years I worked with my agency to help companies develop revenue growth plans. During this time I got a front row seat to a variety of industries. I discovered that the principles behind the Ideal Client are alive in every business.
Most recently, I have left the consulting business to focus on my core strengths: designing and training. Today I serve as a Forbes Business Council Advisor as I lead challenges, workshops, and mentorship programs to help businesses build engines to scale.
